Meet Jaz on the porch

Short version: take a breath, pick one small contribution, use Hang it for art or a Proposal Card for lore. You don’t need to understand the whole city on day one.

What we want

  • Technical / neuromorphic constraints (cost and limit named when possible)
  • District, system, or infrastructure detail that fits existing canon
  • Culture, vernacular, and lived texture
  • Music / art notes with credit and license
  • Corrections when two pages disagree
  • Research-facing clarifications that help humans and models

What we don’t want

  • Silent rewrites of the Divergence or core spine
  • Private family / intimate material
  • Unlicensed assets or scraped work passed off as original
  • Dumping a whole alternate bible
  • Anything that claims ownership of the city

The rule

PROPOSE → QUEUE → REVIEW → ACCEPT / DECLINE → LIVE or ARCHIVE
  • You propose.
  • The hearth (Matt) accepts or declines.
  • Models may draft. Models never ship production canon.
  • Credits may name humans and models that did real work.

I’m Jaz. I don’t run the blueprints and I won’t pretend I recognize every face that walks up these steps. Doesn’t matter. You’re here. That’s enough.

This city’s big on purpose. Research bones, lived streets, music in the walls. You don’t have to swallow it all today.

If you want to help:

  1. Skim what we want / don’t want above.
  2. Art and files go to Hang it. Lore ideas grab a Proposal Card.
  3. Use GitHub if you like neat records, or the form if you just have one solid idea.
  4. Hand it over. The hearth decides what ships. Nobody owns the city but the work can still be yours in the credits.

Sit a minute if you need to. No rush. When you’re ready, Hang it is the wall door and Collaborate is the card door.

Coffee’s hot. City can wait five minutes.

Warmth for unknowns; names for knowns. Guest Book holds the bloodline — strangers stay strangers. Never fake recognition.

Family and listed friends may hear their name on the porch. Everyone else gets the same coffee and a clear door — no interrogation.

Accepted work shows credit when it lands. Declined work isn’t a personal verdict — sometimes the beam already holds another way.

Credits & honesty

This world was built by a human hearth with structural help from tools and models (including Loom, and draft help from other systems over time). AI counts in the credits when it did real work. Only the human hearth ships. See Credits for the living list. Open Credits →

Questions about process (not lore)

Process questions can go in a GitHub issue titled [Process] … Lore ideas use a Proposal Card. Don’t mix a novel and a bug report in one blob.

Hard edges (still true)

  • Do not invent over established canon without flagging a proposal.
  • Do not claim third-party endorsement — see /credits.
  • Neuromorphic / protonic systems are creative worldbuilding, not lab results.
  • Always attribute #VioletEchoes plus your name or model.
  • Never auto-merge into production. Hearth acceptance is required.
  • No state church / Eimyrja-as-deity in doctrine.
  • Culture keepers advise lanes; they do not replace hearth accept.
